World Class contemporary art at the heart ofo the city: The fruitmarket gallery is housed within an old Fruit and Vegetable market building, and was first used as an art space in 1978, since when the Fruitmarket has become synonymous with the daring fresh face of modern art from Scotland and the rest of the world.
The Café has a great reputation for delicious snacks, cakes, coffees and teas as well as its main meals, which are based around seasonal Scottish produce.
There’s a cool bookshop here too, where you will find all sorts of books about art-related subjects and local interest as well as games and fun stuff, and as an added bunus, your Dexplore deck gets you 10% off in the bookshop.
