Jack Hearts | Brighton Dome

With three modern venues under one unique, historic roof and a superb year-round programme of music, dance, theatre and comedy, Brighton Dome is your essential entertainment stop in the city. You'll find us in the grounds of the Royal Pavilion in the heart of Brighton's cultural quarter.

Brighton Dome was built by The Prince Regent in 1805 as a flamboyant stable block and was first converted into a concert hall in 1866. In modern times it has seen some major musical milestones: Abba's 1974 Eurovision win, Pink Floyd's first performance of Dark Side of the Moon and a roof raising concert by Jimi Hendrix in 1970.

Today's line up includes the likes of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Richard Alston Dance Company, Buena Vista Social Club, Stomp, Hofesh Shechter, Van Morrison, Kate Rusby, Salif Keita, Steven Berkoff, Sue Jorge, City of London Sinfonia and Akram Khan. There are family friendly events and workshops such as trapeze, circus skills or the Rockshop for budding musicians. And as if that wasn't enough, Brighton Dome also hosts the annual Magners Paramount Comedy Festival in October and England's biggest annual celebration of the arts Brighton Festival in May.
